Socktober!

It's that time of year again....IT'S SOCKTOBER!!!

Our goal this year is to surpass our 4800 pairs collected in 2019!!! Tough goal! ALL of these socks were donated to PUSD's The Hanger and generously passed out to families and people who are in need in our District. The Hanger is soooo looking forward to our collection this year.

The video also mentions toiletry type items, and that's cool too if your students want to bring those in!

SOCKTOBER will run from Monday, October 4th-Friday, October 15th, with a CRAZY SOCK DAY on Friday, October 8th! Thank you so much in advance for your participation!

New Bell Schedule

All families, please reference the NEW start and end time changes for all grades.
In particular, Wednesdays will now be an early release day, NOT a 'late start' day.

New Student Enrollment

Summer Enrollment for June & July 2021.

If you are new to the Pleasanton Unified School District and enrolling for the 21-22 school year, enrollment will begin at the District Office on Monday, June 7, 2021. Follow the steps below to complete the new student enrollment process.

Please submit your enrollment packet to 215 Abbie Street during business hours. Our office hours are Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm.

After June 7, 2021, Enrollment Packets can be placed in an envelope and dropped into the lockbox outside at 215 Abbie Street.

Please do not drop enrollment packets after office hours and on weekends.

Parents planning to enroll their child in Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten (TK) are invited to attend one of our virtual parent meetings to hear about enrollment and registration procedures, Health Services, and more.

Halloween Costume Reminders

To ensure school appropriate practices and policies are followed please adhere to the following guidelines:

If choosing to wear a costume students will dress at home and wear their costume to school.

If your child’s costume does not allow them to sit comfortably or participate in school activities please have your child wear their costume over their regular school clothes as they will need to remove the costume in order to participate in the remainder of the day’s activities.

Face make-up, artificial blood, or other potentially messy items are not allowed at school. Save these items to wear at home on Halloween night.

All toy weapons or weapon type props are not allowed, including fake swords, knives, or chains! Items brought to school will be stored and held in the office until the end of the school day for parent pick-up.

Costumes and/or masks that depict results of violent acts are not allowed.

School Supply Drive!

If you're a returning Fairlands family next year, please donate now to Fairlands School Supply Drive to benefit the 2019-2020 school year. Fairlands families do not have to buy their own supplies for back to school. Donate now and all the supplies will be ordered and delivered to your child(ren)'s classrooms before the first day of school. Every child uses crayons, markers, folders, pencils, etc: we hope every family participates in this drive. Suggested amount $50 per student.

Fairlands is a 2018 California Distinguished School!

The California Department of Education held an awards ceremony honoring 2018 California Distinguished Schools on May 3. Our Fairlands, Hearst and Lydiksen school communities were represented proudly during the ceremony. We look forward to celebrating Hearst, Lydiksen and Fairlands Elementary during the Board's May 8 regular meeting!
