Six Flags Read to Succeed
What is Read to Succeed?
Read to Succeed is a free educational program sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks. The program encourages students in grades K through 6 to engage in recreational reading. Students who complete six hours of recreational, non-school-related reading are eligible to earn a free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park.   Mr. Mutzl typically distributes reading logs in December and they are often due back completed for submission to their classroom teach in early March.

  • Fairlands Library Adopt-a-Book Program

 

The gift that comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors!

The Fairlands Library Adopt-A-Book Program provides a year-round opportunity to give a gift that can be opened again and again.

Graduations, birthdays, teacher recognition, are just a few of the reasons to adopt. You may adopt a book any time of year directly at the Fairlands Library, at one of our 'Adoption events" (Ice Cream Social, Holiday Breakfast, etc.)

Stop by any of our Adoption events (Ice Cream Social, Holiday Breakfast, Open House, etc.) or the Fairlands Library to complete an adoption form, and coming soon, you will be ablest Adopt-A-Book online via our Go Fund Me page.  There you can pay with a credit card, debit card or your PayPal account. Your receipt and a thank-you letter showing the commemorative bookplate will be e-mailed to you.

POETRY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Although all poetry forms are encouragedhaiku is the featured poetry form for the 2015 edition.

All poems submitted must be no more than 80 words in length – if a poem is more than 80 words, it will not be reviewed for publication.

The featured poetry form for 2016 has not yet been announced.

  • Submissions may be handwritten or typed.
  • A student may submit multiple poems, but each student is limited to one page of poetry.
  • No shape poems
  • Please let us know of any special circumstances concerning students and/or their submissions.
